Hash Trash -- Run 1167

HASH NO: 1167
VENUE: Clearmont
DATE: 7 January, 2006
HARES: Steve Robertson

The Run

First, let me thank `Dr. Love' for one of the best Saturday runs we've had in a while; not too long, not too short; all Harriers/Harriettes, Runners/Walkers were kept (with his clearly visible droppings) close together. The run will be hard, if not impossible to match.

I once thought things came in pairs
Everything in pairs, including hares!
But today we had one to lay the trail
Who cares??
What a good hare!

The Bar

The beers, rum and softs were cold; expeditiously served. By 7:30pm `taxi ted', `hall ass' and `soft balls' were buzzing.

The Comradery

There was no wrangling, no bitching, no sallop; nothing of which we had too much in 2005. Let's keep it this way, this year and forever.

The Down-Downs

The RA `counte doc-off' did a very good job, even though he, at times, used language with which us `half minders' surely had some incomprehensibility. Also, he awarded the `shit shirt' to one of the youngest Hashers, `sol' for wearing a black Tshirt. He's in the big league now.

The Horn

Oh, my goodness gracious ME, that horn was fantastic!!! Where did ya all find him? Did he come on-island to play at the Barbados Jazz Festival? Is he some kinda musical muse?

The Injuries

Some Hashers are slowly getting over theirs, while others are turning-up with new ones. What can I say...? Be very careful out there. With age comes Wisdom, Spiritual Enlightenment and Physical Decline. C'est la vie!

Maybe its my imagination, but I saw a lot of fresh Hashers on the run; this is good, but because they have joined the un-intelligentsia, they should know what they're in for, and must be given some help.
