Welcome to the Barbados Hash House Harriers!

We have been around for 40 years! The Barbados Hash is open to ALL: Runners, Walkers, the Young, the Old … ALL are welcome to join us! We run (and walk) on Saturdays at 3.30 pm in Winter and 4 pm in Summer, and at 10 am on Barbados Public Holidays. You can just show up at the posted location under ‘Hashes’ on this site.

There are a few things to note when joining the hash:

  • Please download the Harrier Central app for this week’s location and registration.

  • First-time hashers can register and pay at the event location.

  • Parents are responsible for their own offspring.

  • Participation is undertaken entirely at your own risk. By participating, you are agreeing to our liability waiver.

  • Photos are taken during the event and displayed on social media.

  • There is a $4 BDS per person fee for participating in the hash.

  • Follow us on Instagram and Facebook, and ask to be added to a Hash WhatsApp group when at the Hash.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  Do I need to register before joining the Hash?
A:  Yes, Registration can be done via the Harrier Central App (or in person at the Hash location if that does not work for you).

Q: I am not a runner but want to join the Hash- what do I do?
You walk. There is always a walker’s trail, and many walkers are joining each Hash.

Q: What if I am unable to download the App?
A: If you are unable to download the app or are having trouble signing up, just show up at the Hash and register manually.

Will there be drinks?
Yes, we have a bar after every Hash where you can buy a drink or five.

Q: Is there a Hash this weekend?
A: There is always a Hash. The Next Hash details are posted on the Barbados Hash site and on the Harrier Central App.

Q: Do I need to bring running shoes?
A: You can. You can also bring any shoes you will be comfortable walking or running in for 45 – 120 minutes.

Q: I can’t run very fast or not at all. Will I be left behind?
A: Heck no! There is often a shorter/easier/flatter walker’s route available. If not, we have lots of regular hashers that walk the route, so you’ll be in fine company!

Q: What happens if it rains?
A: If it rains, you’ll get wet! We hash rain or shine, thankfully, we tend to get more shine than rain

Q: How long is the walk/run?
A: We don’t know in advance, that’s part of the fun! Generally, it will take 45 – 120 minutes to complete the route.

Q: We are visiting Barbados next month/year/century.  Where will the hash be?
A: We don’t always know the location of hashes more than a week or two in advance. If you’re coming to Barbados on vacation in a month or two, please keep an eye on the site to find out where the hash will be when you are here.
